Commission work is billed at $100 per hour, and the total depends on size, tooling and hardware. A tooled belt or journal cover is a short job; a fully carved sporran, sheath or bag takes considerably longer. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll quote the piece before any work begins.

Most personal commissions run three to six weeks from approved design to shipping, depending on the queue and how much tooling the piece carries. Production and film work is scheduled around your shoot dates — if you have a hard deadline, say so in your first message and I'll tell you honestly whether it can be met.

Yes. Pieces ship worldwide from Palm Coast, Florida. International orders are quoted with shipping at cost, and any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

Absolutely — that is most of what I do. Bring a drawing, a photograph, a coat of arms, a piece of family history or just a rough idea, and we'll work out how it translates into tooled leather before anything is cut.

Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather for anything tooled or carved, because it is the only leather that takes a stamp properly and develops real patina. Hardware is solid brass, copper or nickel depending on the piece.

Yes. Historical interpretation is where this craft started for me. I build period-correct pieces for museums, living-history programs, re-enactors and screen productions, researched to the period rather than approximated.

Condition it twice a year, keep it away from direct heat and long sun, and store it in cloth rather than plastic. Every piece ships with care instructions specific to its leather and finish, and questions are always welcome.
